Officers from Mornington are investigating a serious assault which occurred in Mornington earlier this year. Investigators have been told a 19-year-old Mount Martha man was walking along Albert Street with friends when he was assaulted about 8.30pm on 19 January. An altercation had earlier occurred with a male at a nearby takeaway store and the situation escalated when the 19-year-old was assaulted by a second male.
