ON the last day of June strong north winds again drew crowds to Mornington harbour, with some taking to the water to surf or to go sailboarding and others braving the spray from waves while walking along the pier.
Photographer Gary Sissons moved from the pier and beach to Schnapper Point where he found Steve Wells and his daughter Jessica, from Somerville, standing knee deep in foam. The resulting photograph could have been taken on a snowy mountaintop, except for the stormy sea backdrop.
