Police have arrested and charged a man after drugs, drug paraphernalia and weapons were located in a stolen vehicle in Pearcedale overnight.

Cranbourne police members made the discovery following an intercept of the vehicle bearing false plates in a car park off Baxter-Tooradin Road about 1.15am.

Police located a quantity of drugs including methamphetamine and cannabis, as well as stolen registration plates and two knives.

A 24-year-old man is expected to be charged in relation to drug, theft and weapons-related offences.

He will be remanded to appear in the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court today.
