The peninsula’s favourite sporting and events destination is ramping up for another stellar day trackside on Sunday 5 November when Ladbrokes Peninsula Cup Day takes centre stage following Victoria Derby Day.

With more than 7,000 racegoers expected to enjoy the annual event, an exciting eight race card program highlighted by the $60,000 Ladbrokes Peninsula Cup (1600m) will accompany a huge array of food, fashion and entertainment.

Popular peninsula local, model, radio host and reality TV sensation Alex Nation will add some glamour as the 2017 Face of Ladbrokes Peninsula Cup Day. Style, colour and fun will be in abundance at the Main Street Mornington Style Stakes, now in its second year, which will welcome entrants wanting to show off their unique raceday style in front of the camera in custom-made studios.

Thousands of dollars in prizes are available across various categories, including Ladies, Lads, Squad (up to eight people), Millinery and the new 35 & over category, of which Nation, along with Fashion Retailer Erica McPherson (Fiona’s of Mornington) and Milliner Felicity Northeast will judge.

Those who don’t want to enter the Main Street Mornington Style Stakes competition are still welcome to join in the action and have a free digital photo taken, while the Arbonne Pamper Station will be set up to treat racegoers with free makeup touch ups throughout the day.

The Tanqueray Bar and the Pimms Lawn Bar will be back for those to enjoy lawn games and a little relaxation in the build up to headline entertainment act, Northeast Party House, which is set to light up the Carlton Draught Main Stage.

More than 1200 racegoers will be spending their day in the highly popular Highview Accounting Cider Marquee, which offers all-inclusive gourmet catering and beverages featuring live music and entertainment. There are up to 100 tickets left so get in quick.
