Show time: Feature artist David Brayshaw

MORNINGTON Art Show will feature leading Australian artist David Brayshaw in its 47th art show to run 18-26 January.

Brayshaw is listed by the Kevin Hills Gallery in Sydney as one of Australia’s top-10 artists.

A professional artist since 1982, and working in oils and mixed media, Brayshaw is well known across Australia with solo and group exhibitions. He has also exhibited in Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai and the US.

He is renowned for his coastal, Great Barrier Reef and alpine paintings. Captivated by the sublime landscapes of Mt Kosciuszko and the Victorian Alps, his alpine paintings have featured in many Melbourne and Sydney exhibitions.

Moving to the South coast of NSW in 1990 provided his greatest inspiration – from the ocean. A focus on coastal themes has led to strong local and international markets for his work.

Brayshaw is included in many Australian private, corporate and institutional collections, including the Commonwealth Artbank. He has won more than 30 art awards, including the prestigious Fredrick McCubbin Gold Medal award. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of History and Art. ( FAIHA)

Mornington Art Show is proud to feature Brayshaw’s work in its mid-January exhibition. It is expected that more than 850 paintings and photographs will be displayed.

Opening night tickets for Thursday 17 January will be available online at Mornington Art Show or at Farrell’s Book store from 1 December.

“Already the quality of entries being submitted is of a very high standard,” art show chair Victor Sullivan said.
