PARAMEDICS were unable to save the life of a man found with upper body injuries in Hastings this morning, Monday 18 January.

Homicide squad detectives were investigating the incident which occurred in Queen Street about 7am. The man died at the scene of a suspected stabbing.

Up to 10 police cars were at the scene. Blankets and a tarpaulin had been placed over the body and over other items nearby.

The exact circumstances surrounding the man’s death are yet to be determined and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
