Fatal Hit and Run Mton Pen Fwy.
On the Mornington Peninsula Freeway at Safety Beach a person was hit by one car that left the scene and was then hit by a second car, the person I believe to be a male died at the scene. Police are asking for any witnesses to the accident to call crimestoppers.
Police had the car that left the scene at Mornington Police station and were being assisted in their investigations by the driver. I don’t know if they were stopped or went directly to the Police station after the accident.
The accident happened on the Northern bound lanes of the freeway. Police from Rosebud and Hastings attended, M.C.I.U. attended along with Sorrento SES and Dromana CFA.
Edwina Neale was the Sergeant in charge from Rosebud Police station.
