Frankston Sexual Offences & Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives are investigating an incident after a man was masturbating on a beach in Mornington in January.

Police were told a man was seen at Mills Beach and engaged in sexual activity in the presence of three females at about 3.45pm on 24 January.

Investigators have released a computer-generated image of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

He is perceived to be Caucasian, about 50-years-old, with a slim build and grey/brown hair.

The man was last seen wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and black shoes.

Anyone who recognises the man or has information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
