Police are on scene and investigating following a shooting that left a man in hospital overnight in Mornington.
The incident occurred about 12.30am in Cooba Court where, following a verbal argument, one man is believed to have shot another.
The offender fled on a motorbike however police understand the parties are known to one another.
A crime scene has been established and detectives along with crime scene services and ballistics experts will process the scene throughout the morning.
The victim, aged in his late 20’s remains in hospital with non-life threatening injuries and Armed Crime Squad are taking the lead.
