THE Leader of the Victorian Liberal Party, Jess Wilson, was in Hastings on Sunday morning (17 May) in support of the preselected Liberal candidate for the seat of Hastings, Frank Schiefler. Doing a press conference at Harbourside Cafe at Hastings Marina, Wilson announced an elected Liberal government in November would lift the threshold for businesses paying payroll tax from $1m to $1.2m, and lift the Land Tax threshold from $50,000 up to $300,000.
