Homicide Squad detectives are investigating following the discovery of a body on a property in Tyabb last night.

The body was located on a vacant rural property on Dandenong-Hastings Road just after 9pm.

The exact circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be determined but detectives are treating it as suspicious.

The body is still to be identified.
