An elderly man has died in hospital following a collision in McCrae earlier this month.

The 91-year-old McCrae man was struck by a turning vehicle in the car park of a Point Nepean Road shopping centre shortly before 9am on 16 March.

He was taken to hospital, where he died last night.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.

The driver, a 61-year-old Rosebud man, has assisted police with their enquiries.

Somerville Highway Patrol members are investigating the collision and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
