Car crash at Merricks North

Police are currently on scene of a fatal car crash that has claimed the life of a man at Merricks North this evening.

It is believed a vehicle was travelling south along Tubbarubba Road near Balnarring Road about 5.45pm.

Police have been told the vehicle lost control and left the road before crashing into a tree.

The male driver, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
