Fatal collision in Hastings

A man has died after his motorcycle collided with a van in Hastings earlier this morning.

It is believed the rider was travelling west on Hodgins Road when he collided with a food-delivery van just after 4am.

The van was turning onto Hodgins Road from Michelle Drive when the collision occurred.

The 21-year-old male driver of the van was arrested at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
