Charges following drug seizure in Somerville

Divisional Response Unit detectives have charged a man and seized drugs and other items following an ongoing investigation.

A warrant was executed at an address on Clarinda Street early yesterday morning.

Police seized cannabis plants, methylamphetamine, bikes, an electric scooter, ammunition, and a jet ski.

A 55-year-old Somerville man has been charged with several drug related offences including cultivating a drug of dependence, trafficking a drug of dependence, theft, dealing with the proceeds of crime, possession of ammunition and committing an indictable offence whilst on bail. 

He was remanded to appear before the Frankston Magistrates’ court today, 22 December.
