Police are investigating after a car crashed into a tree at Rye early this morning.
It is believed a vehicle was travelling along Melbourne Road when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree about 12.15am.
Sadly, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene.
The driver is yet to be formally identified.
