Police have arrested a second teenager following an alleged assault in Mornington earlier this week.

A 17-year-old Hastings boy was arrested last night.

He’s been interviewed, released and is expected to be charged on summons.

Officers were called to reports a man was allegedly assaulted and pushed off a pier into water near Schnapper Point Drive about 11.30pm on Sunday, 14 January.

The man was pulled from the water and has not reported the incident to police at this stage.

A 14-year-old Crib Point boy was arrested on Tuesday, 15 January and will be charged on summons.

Both teenagers will face a children’s court at a later date.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
