A tragic incident has claimed the life of a person after being struck by a vehicle this morning, 3 October.
Emergency services were called to the Boundary Rd, near Jetty Rd, in Dromana after the person was hit by what is understood to be a truck about 11.30am.
A Victoria Police spokesperson said the death appeared to be a self-harm incident.
Paramedics from the Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance and Advanced Life Support attended. Dromana fire brigade volunteers were also called.
The road was closed in both directions by fire trucks and police cars.
