The Tyabb Airshow returned in spectacular fashion on Sunday, March 1st, drawing aviation enthusiasts, families and visitors from across the region for an unforgettable day.

The event showcased a world-class range of aircraft, with an incredible array of unique, historic and modern machines taking to the skies, while high-performance aircraft from the Australia Defence Force impressed with their speed and precision.

On the ground, visitors enjoyed a variety of static displays, featuring vintage and modern fixed-wing aircraft alongside several helicopters. Popular displays from the Australia Defence Force, the Cerberus Band and the CFA once again proved to be crowd favourites.

Peninsula Aero Club pilots, along with many others, generously donated their time and aircraft to ensure the day’s success. Among the highlights were breathtaking aerobatic demonstrations by Paul Bennett and other elite pilots, who pushed the limits of aerodynamics and human performance in dazzling displays.

Beyond the excitement in the air, the Tyabb Airshow continued its proud tradition of giving back. A substantial portion of funds raised was allocated to Community Service organisations on the Mornington Peninsula. Over the years, more than $600,000 had been donated through the airshows, reflecting the Peninsula Aero Club’s long-standing commitment to supporting local charities.

This year’s beneficiaries included Kindred Clubhouse, a not-for-profit community-based organisation providing free peer support for people seeking to improve or maintain their mental health in the Frankston–Mornington Peninsula region. Support was also provided to Tyabb CFA, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, Hastings SES and local Lions Clubs.

The 2026 Tyabb Airshow once again delivered a spectacular day out for friends and families alike, in a celebration of aviation, community spirit and generosity.
