MEN’S DIV ONE SEN
LANGWARRIN chalked up their second loss for the 2026 season at the hands of Edithvale-Aspendale.
Edi-Asp started the game strongly and took an 11 point lead into the first break after scoring 3.6 to Langwarrin’s 2.1.
Langwarrin were able to claim the lead in the second quarter after scoring six goals to Edi-Asp’s four, putting the Kangaroos in front at half time by a mere three points.
In the third quarter, Langwarrin maintained their three point lead with both teams scoring 2.4.
Edi-Asp were able to come back in the final quarter, scoring 3.3 to Langwarrin’s 2.2, giving them a nail-biting four point victory.
Devon Meadows were able to beat the third team on the ladder, Frankston YCW.
In the first quarter, Devon Meadows’ scoring inaccuracy let them down, causing them to score 1.4 to the Stonecats’ 2.1.
Both teams scored four goals in the quarter before the long break, giving Frankston YCW the lead by four points.
Devon Meadows came back strongly in the third quarter, scoring 3.6 to Frankston YCW’s single point and claiming the lead.
The Stonecats were unable to catch up in the final quarter, scoring 3.2 to Devon Meadows’ 1.4 and leaving Devon Meadows to win by nine points.
Mt Eliza were able to secure a win against Pines.
In the first quarter, Mt Eliza scored 6.2 to Pines’ 3.2, leaving an 18 point gap between the teams.
The Redlegs continued to pull ahead in the second quarter, scoring 7.7 to Pines’ 2.1, leading by 54 points at half time..
Pines were not done fightinh, though, and were able to win the third quarter, scoring 3.2 to Mt Eliza’s 1.3.
In the fourth, Mt Eliza continued to pull ahead, scoring 4.4 to Pines’ 1.3 and winning by 62 points.
Luke Dalmau slotted three goals for Pines. Alfie Lambert scored four goals for Mt Eliza.
MEN’S DIV TWO SEN
SEAFORD remains on top of the ladder after their win against Bonbeach.
In the first quarter, Seaford took the lead after scoring 4.10 to Bonbeach’s 2.1.
Seaford remained in the lead in the second quarter after each team scored two goals, leaving Seaford ahead by 19 points.
In the third quarter, Seaford scored 3.5 to Bonbeach’s 2.3.
Bonbeach won the fourth quarter, scoring fifteen points to Seaford’s three, but Seaford still were in the lead when it mattered, and won by 15 points.
After being in front the whole game, Pearcedale took an easy win against Chelsea.
In the first quarter, Pearcedale took an early lead after scoring 3.4 to Chelsea’s 1.3, leading by 13 points at the first break.
The quarter before the long break saw Pearcedale score a further five goals while Chelsea scored 4.4, leaving Pearcedale still ahead..
Pearcedale continued to climb in the third quarter, scoring 4.4 to Chelsea’s 2.2.
In the final quarter, Pearcedale scored a further 11 points while Chelsea only managed to score seven, giving Pearcedale the win by 33 points.
Luke Daniel scored a massive five goals for Pearcedale. Brett O’Hanlon and Will Barker each scored two goals for Chelsea.
Despite a close finish, Rye secured a win against Crib Point.
Rye took an early ten point lead, scoring 19 points to Crib Point’s nine in the first quarter.
In the second, the Demons scored 1.3 to Crib Point’s 1.2, leaving the teams separated by 11 points at half time.
Rye easily led the third quarter after scoring 4.4 to Crib Point’s 1.4.
The Magpies kept Rye scoreless in the final quarter and nearly caught up, scoring 3.7 giving Rye the win by just four points.
After a close game, Somerville took a win against Frankston Bombers.
Somerville took an early lead after scoring 3.4 in the first quarter to the Bombers’ 1.0.
The Bombers caught up in the second quarter, scoring 3.3 to Somerville’s 1.1, leaving Somerville ahead by two points at half time.
Both teams ended the third quarter on 42 points, setting up a huge final quarter of footy.
In the final quarter, scoring inaccuracy let the Bombers down, as they scored 1.5 to Somerville’s 2.1, leaving Somerville to win by a mere two points.
Despite having the home ground advantage, Hastings was unable to win against Red Hill.
Only one goal separated the teams in the first quarter, with Red Hill on 3.1 and Hastings on 2.1.
In the quarter before the long break, Red Hill scored 0.4 while Hastings scored 1.1, separating the teams by only three points, with Red Hill in the lead.
Red Hill began to pull into the lead in the third, scoring 3.1 to Hastings’ 2.4.
In the final quarter, Red Hill was able to score 8.2 to Hastings’ 2.2, leaving Red Hill to win by 42 points.
Kade Foster scored three goals for Hastings. Logan Sandford and Isaac Buckley each scored three goals for Red Hill.
Karingal secured an easy win against Tyabb.
In the first quarter, Karingal scored 4.4 to Tyabb’s 2.0, taking an early lead.
Karingal maintained their lead in the second quarter after scoring two goals to Tyabb’s 2.2, leaving Karingal ahead by 14 points at half time.
Tyabb was only able to score one point in the third quarter while Karingal scored 2.4.
In the final quarter, Karingal scored 2.4 to Tyabb’s 1.3, leaving Karingal to win by 36 points and double Tyabb’s score.
Kai Marshall and Jackson Burke each scored two goals for Karingal. Corey Buchan played an outstanding game and scored four goals for Tyabb.
