Accident North Rd and Westernport Highway.
A head on accident between North Rd and Robinsons Rd on the Westernport Highway. Weather conditions were wet at the time of the accident and getting dark. There was a woman in a Ford Falcon who was taken to Frankston hospital and a Male in what appeard to be a Mazda 626 or similar that was extricated and airlifted to the Alfred hospital, Police said that his condition was critical. Langwarrin CFA rescue and Frankston SES rescue attended the sce along with Narre Warren SES for lighting, Police from the Highway Patrol and Ambo’s also attended.
The Westernport Highway was blocked off in both directions while they worked to free the Male from his car, He was taken to the Air Wing for transportation and the Helicopter that had landed on the Westernport Highway made a great take-off near lights along the highway.
There was a person in photo 19 who was at the scene, I believe he was travelling in a different car and the girl in the accident is his fiancee, please check this with Police. Frankston Highway Patrol was in charge of the scene, I think they are stationed at Ballarto Rd.
