A man has died after his car struck a tree at Tyabb this evening.
A member of the public has come across the crash scene on Mckirdys Road shortly after 8pm.
The good Samaritan has pulled the driver from the wreckage and attempted to revive him.
Despite the best efforts of the passerby and emergency services, the male driver died at the scene.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
