ART lovers and collectors are invited to experience the creative heart of the Mornington Peninsula when the much-anticipated Peninsula Studio Trail Artists open their studios to visitors on the weekend of 2–3 May 2026.

Across the weekend, artists will open the doors to their art studios, welcoming visitors to step behind the scenes and discover how original artworks are created. It’s a rare opportunity to meet the artists, see works in progress, see the materials, ask questions, and gain insight into the creative process in the very spaces where the art is made.

This year’s trail invites visitors to follow a scenic journey along the coast from Frankston through to Blairgowrie, before looping back via the back beach communities of Shoreham, Somers and Bittern. Take in the views from Red Hill and relax with a stop for coffee along the way through Moorooduc. An interactive map on the Peninsula Studio Trail website makes it easy to plan your own trail experience.

Artists on the trail work across a diverse range of mediums including painting in oils, acrylics, inks and watercolour, as well as ceramics, pottery, sculpture and photography. Each studio offers its own unique atmosphere, from light-filled painting studios to hands-on ceramic workshops, providing visitors with an inspiring and personal connection to the artworks.

The Open Studio Weekend is an immersive creative experience. Visitors can explore at their own pace, enjoy the stunning scenery of the peninsula, and purchase original artworks directly from the artists.

To help plan your visit, the Peninsula Studio Trail website includes an interactive map and artist profiles, making it easy to design your own art-filled weekend.

The artists look forward to welcoming visitors into their studios and sharing their work, inspiration and creative stories.
