MORNINGTON resident and founder of Catch Me Marketing Co. Trish McLachlan is a finalist in three categories at the 2026 Global Search Awards.
The Global Search Awards recognise the creativity and innovation of marketing professionals around the world. McLachlan is a finalist in Best Use of Search, Best Integrated Campaign, and Most Innovative Campaign, and is one of only a handful of Australian businesses nominated.
The nominations recognise the strategy McLachlan built for an emerging e-commerce business, taking it from having no digital marketing presence to generating over $300,000 in sales in under 30 days.
“The work that I did for them was very much about actually creating all of the necessary infrastructure that they needed to generate sales,” said McLachlan.
McLachlan said she wants her nominations to be a reminder that ambition and world-class work can and does come from the peninsula.
“To receive this kind of global recognition — competing against some of the biggest agencies in the world from right here on the peninsula is something I’m incredibly proud of,” said McLachlan.
“To have my work recognised across three categories tells me that methodology and precision can compete with scale. That matters to me enormously, both as a practitioner and as someone who’s spent years studying the evidence behind what actually works in marketing.”
McLachlan started her company back in 2017 as a side hustle, before transitioning to full-time two years ago after completing her post-graduate degree.
She works from home on the peninsula and is the sole employee of Catch Me Marketing Co..
“I deliberately work that way because having hands on participation with all of my clients gives me those insights to actually iterate, refine, and enable growth,” said McLachlan.
“I build deep partnerships with my clients and we both have a common goal, so achieving those goals and achieving growth for them is really, really important to me.”
One of McLachlan’s clients Dave said her work has transformed his business, The Notorious Collective.
“When Trish first came on board, we honestly had no idea what we needed to have in place to run an e-commerce business properly, but she sorted all of that out for us,” said Dave.
“The results have been beyond our expectations.”
Winners will be announced at the Global Search Awards, which will take place on 23 September in Dublin, Ireland. McLachlan said she is incredibly excited for the trip and to meet other industry leaders in digital marketing.
