RACV Cape Schanck Resort’s restaurant Samphire was joint winner of Hotel Restaurant of the Year at the 2026 Victorian Accommodation Awards for Excellence.
The awards were held on 20 August at Crown Melbourne, and recognise the best venues, experiences, and teams from Victoria’s accommodation industry.
RACV Cape Schanck Resort Manager Karl Henry said the team are all extremely proud of the award.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to receive this recognition last night,” said Henry.
“It is a really proud moment for our team at Samphire, who are passionate about providing an exceptional dining experience to all our guests.”
Henry said what sets Samphire apart is the team and the exceptional service they provide.
“We’re really passionate about celebrating the region, and the best of Victoria,” said Henry.
“From our beverage lists, which include some of the Mornington Peninsula’s best wines, to supporting the local growers in the area, such as Hawkes Farm.”
Henry highlighted tourism as a major economic driver for the region.
“Recognition like this reinforces the peninsula’s reputation as a premium tourism and events destination,” said Henry.
Henry said the team at Cape Schanck is “phenomenal”, but their success wouldn’t be possible without support.
“Thank you to everyone who supports us in achieving what we need to achieve, from our suppliers to our contractors, but also RACV and the wider business and the support they provide us,” said Henry.
“But most importantly, our guests who support us.”
RACV took home multiple awards at the ceremony. General manager Craig Peachey said the results were a reflection of the strength of RACV’s tourism, hospitality and events.
