RUGBY By David Burke LAST Friday night (10 July) the Peninsula Dolphins senior women’s tag team headed out to Casey Fields in Cranbourne to face the top of the ladder side, Casey Warriors. After coming off a bye due to state representative City verses Country rugby league round (July 4) the team went in feeling very confident. With the Peninsula Dolphins placing pride in their defence and playing with energy in the back half of the game the conditions worked…

It was a low scoring match: 18-10 at full-time. Courageous defence kept the Dolphins in the game, however the amount of handling errors in attack saw them unable to apply pressure during crucial points of the game. After several seniors took part in training the Dolphins junior squad during the week they left with one more lesson on Saturday with six words: “Next Game, Next battle,…

RUGBY LEAGUE By David Bourke THE Peninsula Dolphins third grade men’s team have made a big splash going to the top of the ladder after winning 12 points to 10 in a feisty round four clash against the now second place Waverley Panthers at Fregon Reserve Clayton last Saturday afternoon (23 May). With many of the Dolphins junior squad watching and cheering their senior side on, the seniors showed how grit and determination move a team forward and turning up for your teammates gets the job done. The women’s Dolphins tag team didn’t find it as smooth sailing going down…
