COMMUNITY groups dedicated to fostering connections and improving mental wellbeing can now apply for grants of up to $10,000 through Australia Post’s 2025 Community Grants program.
Australia Post has also announced a significant expansion of its Community Grants program for this year, with an additional allocation of up to $250,000 allocated to support grassroots initiatives that enhance mental wellbeing, foster connection, and build resilience in disaster-impacted communities.
Australia Post’s community and stakeholder engagement general manager Nicky Tracey said local organisations were best placed to support a recovery process in times of disaster. “That’s why we’re proud to offer an additional allocation of up to $250,000 in community grants this year, to support projects in disaster-impacted communities across Australia that promote mental wellbeing, strengthen social connections, and build resilience within their communities,” she said.
Eligible not-for-profit organisations will be able to apply for grants of up to $10,000 until 7 July. Among those awarded a grant last year was the Windemere Child and Family Services, which allowed it to launch a project involving workshops for those affected by severe storms to navigate their recovery journey together.
“Without the Australia Post Community grant, we would not have been able to get the project off the ground,” support worker Bree Brunswick said. “It allowed us to shape the project in a way that met our community’s needs. If you’re thinking of applying, go for it. Your project could be the spark that helps your community grow stronger.”
Successful applicants will be notified in September. To check eligibility, visit: auspost.com.au/grants.
