COMMUNITY Bank Mt Martha has announced the recipients of its ”Mt Martha Stronger Community Grant Program’ – Round 3. Applicants were able to apply for Grants of minimum $2,500 to maximum of $10,000, for capital works initiatives. The Board of Community Bank Mt Martha, at its February meeting approved the following capital works grants:
- Alexandra Park Project – $3,000 – 5 new flip tables
- The Bays Healthcare Group Inc – $10,000 – Strengthening local endoscopy capacity with a new colonoscope.
- Citizen Science Crew Inc – $2,600 – New 7m x 5m galvanised trailer with cage and lockable aluminium toolbox
- Mornington Bowls Club – $5,447 – Environmentally friendly seating for bowlers
- Mornington Civic Bowls & Social Club – $5,000 – Outdoor kitchen & undercover
veranda. - Mornington Peninsula Patchworkers Inc – $2,500 – Big electric fabric cutter ultimate
system, go fabric cutter & die bag and accessories - Mornington Yacht Club – $10,000 – MYC rescue boat
- Mt Martha Life Saving Club – $5,000 – Side by side vehicle for beach patrol
- Mt Martha Pre-School – $5,000 – Playground shade sail project
- Mt Martha Soccer Club – $5,000 – Clubhouse storage & equipment.
- Mt Martha Yacht Club – $5,000 – Patrol boat for junior sailing program
- Rotary Club of Mt Martha – $5,000 – Containers for community equipment
- Mt Martha Bowls & Petanque Social Club – $5,000 – Audio & communication equipment
- New Peninsula Men’s Shed Inc – $5,000 – Twin drum sander and industrial collector
They have also approved the following community grants this financial year:
- Mornington Community Support centre – $20,000 – Fresh food second bite program
- Mental Health Safety Net – $5,000 – 1000 Suicide prevention & community support booklets.
The Grants are made possible by the local community doing its banking at Community Bank Mt Martha. and total $98,547.
