Police are appealing for witnesses following a road rage turned criminal damage incident, last month in Frankston.
On Thursday 31 October, the victim was driving along Hillcrest Road, when he noticed a man riding erratically on a motorcycle.
Both the victim and the motorcycle turned into Bloom Street where the abuse began.
Initial verbal abuse soon elevated, as the offender began kicking the victim’s car – a Hyundai Getz used for driving lessons. In an effort to escape, the victim turned into Lardner Road but was followed by the offender who sped up on his motorcycle, and continued to kick the car, damaging it in various places.
Arriving in Beaconsfield Parade, the victim stopped to collect a client at an address, but was followed by the offender who continued the verbal abuse and damage to the car. A physical altercation then ensued between the two, before the offender ran off.
The victim then returned to the car joined by his client. Ready to commence the lesson, the offender was seen returning to the scene carrying a boning knife. The victim and client managed to avoid further confrontation by leaving the scene and reporting the matter to police.
The male offender is thought to be of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late teens or early 20’s and with fair hair. His most distinguishing characteristic is his missing upper teeth. The offender was seen wearing a predominantly white hooded jumper.
The motorcycle is described as being red in colour with an orange fuel tank.
