A CONCERNED resident has raised the alarm after five mature Australian native trees, estimated to be between 70 to 80 years old, were recently cut down in Red Hill South by a power company. RED Hill South, Sorrento and Frankston are among 17 finalists competing for the 2023 Victorian Top Tourism Town award. The annual award recognises Victorian towns that provide exceptional experiences for visitors by working together with businesses, tourism operators and the community. The three award categories this year are Top Tourism Town (population above 5000), Small Tourism Town (population 1500-5000) and Tiny Tourism Town (population less than 1500).
