Police are investigating after a stolen buggy rammed a police vehicle in Moorooduc this morning. It is understood a blue sedan arrived at a business on Moorooduc Highway about 5.40am. Offenders allegedly got out of the vehicle, forced entry into the premises and stole an industrial buggy. The buggy fled the scene and travelled a short distance, in convoy with the blue car. Patrolling officers spotted the vehicles on Bentons Road, where they both came to a stop. The buggy rammed the police car. There were no physical injuries. VOLUNTEERS at the Boneo Lions Club have been left gutted after a custom-made marquee was stolen from the depot behind their opportunity shop in Rosebud. The theft occurred in the early hours of Wednesday 4 February. CCTV footage showed a single person wearing a dark hoodie riding a motorised scooter as they made off with the 3m by 4.5m marquee, which proudly displayed the club name and logo. FAKE social media reports have sparked public panic over a supposed organised dog abduction ring targeting pets around Frankston and the peninsula.
